AgentLens is designed to measure AI tool ROI with the least possible data. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

AgentLens collects the minimum data required to measure AI coding tool ROI for your engineering organisation:

  • GitHub metadata: commit timestamps, author email hashes (one-way, irreversible), repository names
  • Copilot Metrics API aggregates: seat counts, suggestion acceptance rates at org level
  • Usage events via PostHog: page views, feature interactions (opt-out available in Privacy Settings)
  • Account data: work email address, GitHub org handle, billing contact

What we never collect

  • ✕Source code or file contents
  • ✕Commit message contents
  • ✕Code diffs or patches
  • ✕Individual keystroke or typing-speed data

How we use your data

  • ROI measurement: calculate AI adoption rates and productivity signals within your organisation only
  • Benchmark database: anonymised, aggregated contribution to the cross-company benchmark dataset — no customer identifiers survive the anonymisation pipeline
  • Product improvement: aggregate usage analytics to improve the AgentLens product
  • Communication: onboarding emails, usage digests, and billing notices via Resend

Data retention

Active accounts: data retained indefinitely while your subscription is active.

Post-cancellation: all customer-identifiable data is permanently deleted 30 days after subscription ends. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

Benchmark aggregates: anonymised benchmark data is retained permanently. It contains no PII, no org identifiers, and cannot be traced back to your organisation.

Your GDPR rights

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data (Art. 15), rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16), erasure ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17), data portability in machine-readable format (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing (Art. 21).

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@agent-lens.app. We will respond within 30 days. No fees apply for reasonable requests.

We use the minimum cookies necessary to operate the service:

  • sb-auth-token (Essential)

    Supabase authentication session — required to stay logged in

  • ph_* (Analytics)

    PostHog usage analytics — opt-out available in Privacy Settings inside your dashboard
